Bernadette Striggles has attended Unity of the Midlands since 1999. She became a member in 2014 which is around the same time she began working with the Unity Youth. Bernadette's favorite things about Unity are the openness she finds here and the freedom for everyone to be who they are! Her favorite way to serve at Unity is to plan and carry out social gatherings and events.

Mark Leo has been attending Unity of the Midlands since 2022 with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys helping with the Audio Visual Team because it is behind the scenes service. Mark enjoys the social events at Unity and learning ways to practice spiritual principles in his everyday life. Mark coaches his boys basketball teams, loves watching all sports and enjoys spending time with his family.

Rachel Thompson’s journey at Unity of the Midlands started around 2008 when she was invited by a friend to visit a morning service. Rachel was impressed that the one hour service ended on a spiritual high note. Coming from a Pentecostal Church Community Rachel was accustomed to staying at church for hours to achieve a similar experience!  Since that time Rachel says she has found her spiritual home at Unity of the Midlands. She has  served in different leadership positions from the church board, special committees, the Audio-Visual Team, and occasionally spoke at services on special occasions. Over the years, she has built lasting relationships, embodying the Five Unity Principles in her daily life.  She believes the principles help guide in her personal, spiritual, and professional life.
